The British Council Karachi library is pleased to host the exclusive launch of lifestyle influencer turned author, Mahvish Ahmad’s memoir - On My Way.
Mahvish will be in conversation with renowned author and publisher, Safinah Danish Elahi, as they delve into the author’s life journey as a daughter, wife, and mother, navigating a new country far from her Lahore roots and how amid settling into unfamiliar surroundings, she strives to maintain her identity. Facing unexpected challenges such as a sudden hysterectomy and embracing new beginnings, Mahvish re-evaluates her perspectives. This memoir charmingly recounts Mahvish’s personal evolution within the ever-shifting landscape of womanhood, parenting, and her social media platform, where she shares diverse opinions. Her narrative resonates both as a uniquely Pakistani story and a universally relatable tale.
Copies of the book will be available for sale at the event.

About the Author:
Economics lecturer turned content creator, Mahvish is a mama in boots, trotting through Europe, fighting the Dutch rain, and sometimes missing trams. She is currently based in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, where she is running an Instagram blog. Her content focuses on women-centric topics such as unsustainable social standards, claiming your space and voice in society, loving yourself unapologetically, seeking mental health, conscious parenting, and the struggles of motherhood. With her posts, she attempts to break international cycles and stereotypes around what it means to be a 'good woman'. The appreciation for her content by her audience encouraged her to write her first book.
