In 2023, British Council Pakistan launched a programme to support and advocate for a more sustainable, regenerative, equitable and transparent fashion and textile industry in Pakistan. The first phase of the programme involved an extensive research effort, engaging a diverse range of industry stakeholders through surveys, interviews, focus groups, field visits, workshops and in-depth secondary research.
