Unlimited is an arts commissioning programme that aims to embed exceptional work by disabled artists within the UK and international cultural sectors, reach new audiences, and shift perceptions of disabled people. It is delivered in partnership by Shape Arts and Artsadmin, with funding from Arts Council England, Arts Council of Wales, British Council and Spirit of 2012.
In partnership with the British Council, Unlimited is offering a paid professional development placement for a disabled person who is based outside of the UK and is working (or beginning to work) as an arts producer, curator or arts administrator.
This International placement aims to support the next generation of arts leaders and is a unique opportunity, offering a hands-on experience of the delivery of the Unlimited programme.
The placement is for up to 8 weeks, with up to 6 weeks based in the UK, joining the Unlimited team in the delivery of various activities at the Unlimited festival at Southbank Centre in London and perhaps also in other locations.
This opportunity is fully supported by a grant which provides a bursary and covers the financial expenses incurred, including any access support.
Applicants must be able to communicate effectively in written and spoken English or British Sign Language.
Unlimited works to the Social Model of Disability, and will support applicants with access requirements: Please contact Clara Giraud with any questions: clara@artsadmin.co.uk
Deadline for applications is 14 October 2019 deadline 12 noon GMT
