What better way to spend chilly winter afternoons than going on a thrilling literary adventure from the comfort of your own home? Our Reading Challenge is back and this time it’s bigger, better and all online!  

Challenge Period: 31 January 2025 to 28 February 2025 

Where: Online via Zoom  

Ages: Children from the ages of 07 to 16 can participate 

Registration fee for members: PKR 650

Registration fee for non-members: PKR 750

Prior registration is mandatory for this event and the fee is non-refundable and non-transferable. Please note that you will have to register for, and pay separately for each participating child. Programme objectives include: 

·  helping children become motivated, confident, and engaged readers and communicators 

·  introducing children to a wide range of authors and literature to improve their digital literacy 

·  encourage children to participate in activities and enhance their writing and speaking skills 

How does the programme work?  

Children who join the programme: 

·  will have access to our digital library for 4 weeks 

·  will read a minimum of three books or more from our recommended reading list 

·  will participate in an orientation session, two specially designed activities, and a closing ceremony during the four-week readathon 

·  will receive a certificate upon successfully completing the reading challenge

About the Facilitator:

Shamim has been teaching English since 2019 and has taught students from different walks of life. He started his teaching career in Bangkok where he had the opportunity to teach students from 19 countries. He uses games and other kinaesthetic activities in his lessons to make them engaging and interactive. Shamim enjoys teaching adults and young learners and wants them to speak with confidence. He has a degree in Engineering and CELTA (Certificate in Teaching English Language to Adults). Shamim is a certified speaking and writing examiner for a range of internationally recognised exams. When he is not teaching, Shamim reads books or paints.
