The British Council Lahore Library is a third space that offers a resourceful and shared community experience for our members.

Our library offers collaborative learning and community interaction in a safe setting, with co-working spaces, study rooms, workstations, thousands of books, and unlimited internet – all in one place. We aspire to generate ideas and discussion, and bring people and communities together in a vibrant social space.

Library Opening Hours

Tuesday to Saturday : 10:00 to 18:00
We are closed on Sundays and Mondays

We will remain closed from 25 December to 3 January, 2023. We will respond to all queries once we reopen with our regular timings on 4 January, 2023.

The first step to becoming a member is signing up for a library tour. Please look at membership options to book a tour in Karachi or Lahore, and sign-up for membership.

The British Council Library in Lahore is located within the British Council office premises at the address below:

Entrance and Parking

The pedestrian entrance to the library is on main Mozang Road. There is no public car park available near the library; however, vehicles are usually parked at the Board Office parking or in the street next to the Board Office.

Security

Before entering and as you enter the building, visitors will need to go through security checks. This involves visitors presenting ID documents for verification, walk through gates and baggage scanners.

Facilities

The British Council Library strives to ensure that its building is accessible. Our doors, aisles, restroom, service desk, and study rooms are all wheelchair-accessible with ramps installed on the premises.
